Get to Know You Night

Join us for Get to Know You Night—an evening of connection, discovery, and community spirit! Meet local businesses, home-based services, agencies, and non-profits that make our community thrive. Plus, the Forest Capital of Canada will be there to celebrate with us! Admission: Bring along a non-perishable food item or a $1 donation at the door. All proceeds go directly to support our local Food Bank. Come out, give back, and be part of something special. We can’t wait to see you there!

High Level Trade Show

Find us at the High Level & District Trade Show, on May 2-3, 2025, at the High Level Sports Complex! The High Level & District Chamber of Commerce puts on a fantastic event each year and we are incredibly excited to be partaking in it. See you then! 🙌🏼

Gun and Sportsman Show 2025

Mark your calendars! We will be at the High Prairie Fish and Game Association Gun Club Trade Show April 26 and 27  This event goes from 9am to 5pm on Saturday and 9am to 3pm on Sunday at the Sports Palace, Curling Rink and Gordon Buchanan Arena. Come check out Forest Capital of Canada at High Level's Frostival Event at Centennial Park! Try out the ice slide, check out the ice sculptures, watch live ice carving, dog sledding and more!

Christmas Bird Count 2024

Join the Christmas Bird Count! Be part of North America’s longest-running citizen science project, started in 1900! Each year, thousands of volunteers help count birds to track their populations and distribution. In Canada, the CBC is coordinated by Birds Canada in partnership with the National Audubon Society. It’s free, fun, and a great way to connect with nature this holiday season! Between December 14 and January 5, local groups organize bird counts in specific areas, led by a volunteer Compiler. This year, Northern Lights Forest Education Society (NLFES) is proud to volunteer as a Compiler and the count will be held on December 14! Forest Canada of Canada 2024 is sponsoring Zama City Float Fest! Bring your own floaties. Tree Planting Field Tour

Have you ever wanted to see professional tree planters at work? Would you like to try to plant trees like the pros? Register by July 12, 2024! Alberta Trappers 49th Rendezvous & Outdoorsmen Show

The Alberta Trappers Association strives to promote Alberta's Heritage and outdoor education to our communities throughout Alberta with a focus on our youth through activities, mentoring programs and presentations to schools and youth organizations. The 49th Annual Alberta Trappers Rendezvous and Outdoorsmen Show will be held in Barrhead Alberta at the Agrena and Ag Society.
